Personology

Imagine being able to tell at a glance how to talk to the person in front of you.

How they will digest information, how they may deal with their emotions and even if they will be the ideal partner for you.

These are just some of the tools Personology can help you with. Some sample trait outlines are described below.

There are a multitude of personality assessment programs out in the market and navigating your way through colours, profiles, parachutes and cheese can be confusing. This tool can simplify the way you look at a person and give you many answers straight up front.

Case study: A client of mine runs a multimillion dollar company and was having trouble relating to one of the directors. They had spent hours discussing how they could find some common ground and within 5 minutes of discussing this problem with me it was ascertained that one of them liked to receive their information in bottom line facts whilst the other needed the full scenario with all areas covered. One of them was perceived to be work too radically and without proper consultative processes and the other was seen as a stick in the mud. They now know how to talk to each other and what the other person requires and why.  A consultation saved them months of anguish and agitation.

Personology is different to face reading in that it is not diagnostic as the Chinese face reading is nor is it prophetic.

What it will do is help you become more aware of those traits which are inherent to you and occur naturally. It allows you to understand yourself better so you know why you act the way you do.

Personally I have found it has helped me understand myself better in the way I work and why I work the way I do. It has also explained the differences between myself and my husband so rather than thinking one or the other is being obstinate or frustrating we laugh about our personal traits which cause our reactions to different situation and we can smooth over much quicker situations which may have required further discussion and debate.

Sample traits

Dry humour: you love a joke and have a very dry humour. Your jokes may fall on deaf ears for those who do not have your sense of humour and can inadvertently cause offence.

Nose for news:  you have a natural inquisitiveness which is an asset if you find yourself in a position where knowing what is happening around you and others is important. Your natural nosiness may be taken as intrusive to people who do not know you. Generally people will find you naturally warm and will open up to you and give you the information you are after.

Structural/ Design appreciation: this talent lies in the design of things. Their structure architecturally, their design artistically or their flow, the organisation components of a project. You can see the outline and flow of a situation, an event or an organisation clearly and work to improve it or develop it.

Construction: You have the love of learning and the need for change in your life. You will find you move quickly between careers and projects if they do not hold your attention. Once you have mastered something you will move onto another challenge. Careers for you need variety or you will lose your spark. Many may consider you to be unable to focus on anything for too long if they do not understand you well. Remember to take time out for your family and friends and be aware of the full extent of any projects you commit yourself to or you may drop away before it is completed if it hasn’t your interest.

Physical insulation coarse: your coarser hair indicates that you enjoy living life and will do so loudly and courageously. Life is for living, whether you are outdoors in the elements, listening to loud music or laughing uproariously with friends. You are no shrinking violet and prefer your surroundings to be equally as alive. Be aware that if your partner has finer hair they will be more sensitive to their environment. They won’t want to be a party pooper but they may not enjoy the same stimuli that you do.

Risk taking: you score high on this trait so remember that what you may see as everyday may be a far reach for others.

The History

Personology is a system that developed as a result of the research started by the High Court Judge Edward Jones in the 1930’s in America. Judge Jones had already started studying physiognomy; the study of a person’s personality as it relates to their bone structure. There are early notes on Physiognomy which go back as far as Aristotle and the 1890’s study of Phrenology, which studied the potential criminal traits a person may have, this was proved to be flawed adn gave physiognomy a bad name for a while. From his studies in the court room Judge Jones came up with 68 of his own traits.

Jones was the first person to discover that the apparent asymmetry in our faces relates to many of our mood swings and the changeability of our personality. During the 1950’5 – 1960’s Jones teamed up with Robert Whiteside a newspaper editor who was highly sceptical until he had his wife’s face ‘read’ at a public forum where Jones could not have met her before. Together and with thousands of test subjects they finally came up with just under 100 traits which can be allocated to the person with over 88% accuracy.

Testimonials

Hi Clare, got back from holidays and got your profile – thanks!  It was a really interesting process to go through.  I suppose the test of any personality profiling system is whether it rings true or not, and this one certainly did for me.
